Nestling at the heart of three provinces: Berry, Touraine and Sologne, our 30-hectare vineyard extends over 2 designations: Valençay and Touraine. Our vines flourish on the age-old terraces of the Cher, drawing up the goodness of two soil types: flinty clay and clay containing sand, silt and pebbles (locally known as "argiles à cosses").
Patrick and Chantal Gibault take an environmentally-friendly approach to tending our vines. The grapes are harvested when at their optimum ripeness and turned into wine using cutting-edge temperature-controlled techniques. We give precedence to extracting as much fruity flavour as possible and just enough tannins to achieve a beautifully structured wine … after all, drinking wine should be an enjoyable experience!
Body and complexity for the Valençay wines, silky smooth punch for the Touraines, a wonderfully refreshing taste for our i.g.p. Val de Loire wines (local wines) and light bubbles infused with elegance for our MéthodesTraditionnelles (traditional method sparkling wines)…
You can be sure that a trip to our neck of the woods will be one of enjoyment and excellence.
